At least they didn't remake "Jeremy"

If the "Yes, We Can" video had any positive effect on Barack Obama's campaign, then the latest entry in the musical endorsement field may well erase it all.

All the members of Pearl Jam, save lead singer Eddie Vedder, came together to record "Rock Around Barack," a cover of the classic "Rock Around the Clock," to show their support for Barack Obama's candidacy.

My mother always told me that if you're not going to say anything nice, you shouldn't say anything at all. So let's just leave judgment on the song to New York magazine's "Vulture" blog, which headlined its post mentioning it, "Pearl Jam Will Not Rest Until John McCain Is Elected President."

You can listen to the song here.
