Barack Obama's campaign has just announced that it raised an astounding $55 million in February alone. More than 700,000 people contributed, and over 385,000 of them were new donors.

Hillary Clinton's campaign trails by a large margin. It had previously announced that it took in $35 million for the month, though on Thursday morning it revealed that it had raised more than $3 million in less than 24 hours following her wins Tuesday night, and was increasing its fundraising goal to $6 million in 48 hours.
