So far, when it comes to the debates, Barack Obama and Joe Biden are batting 1.000. Polls taken after the debates that have been held so far show that Americans believe the Democratic ticket has won each time. The trend held for Tuesday night's debate.

In a CNN poll, 54 percent of respondents said they thought Obama won. Thirty percent gave the debate to John McCain, 11 percent said both won and 4 percent said neither man did.

CBS polled only uncommitted voters. Forty percent of those surveyed thought Obama won, while 26 percent gave the victory to McCain and 34 percent called it a draw.
