Live-blogging: If at first you don't succeed

At an earlier debate, the candidates were asked to give Americans straight answers about what cuts they'll have to make to their proposals; tonight, Bob Schieffer tried again.

Moderator Bob Schieffer just posed a question that was essentially a repeat of one asked in an earlier debate. He asked both candidates to be honest with the American people and tell them which of their proposals they'll have to cut given the current economic crisis and the ballooning federal deficit.
