Al Gore, back in Florida

Both Gores will be working to turn out voters for Barack Obama in the state that cost the former vice president his shot at the White House.

Eight years ago, Florida proved to be the final stumbling block that prevented Al Gore from being elected president. This Friday, he's going back on the campaign trail in the state, this time for Barack Obama.

Politico's Mike Allen reports that Gore and his wife Tipper will both be participating in get-out-the-vote rallies Friday night in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Because of their high concentration of Jewish voters, both areas could prove crucial.
