Six Words for Obama

What do you want the president-elect to say at his inauguration?

Published December 9, 2008 12:15AM (EST)

I imagine that by now most of us -- or at least most of the people who followed the presidential election closely -- have some idea of what we think President-elect Barack Obama should say when he's inaugurated early next year.

If you want to share that opinion, now's your chance: SMITH Magazine (full disclosure, I'm a contributing editor) is co-sponsoring a contest with the National Constitution Center; they're asking you to submit a sentence or phrase of exactly six words that you think Obama should include in his inauguration speech. Six entrants will win a copy of the book, and will have their ideas forwarded to Obama's speechwriters, and one grand prize winner gets a leather-bound copy of the Constitution. If you want to enter, you can do so here.
