Via my friend Steve Benen, I see Politico is reporting that a group of GOP congressional staffers, the Conservative Working Group, has turned to an expert source for wisdom about the stimulus: Joe the Plumber.

Shockingly, Joe -- real name Samuel Wurzelbacher -- isn't a supporter of the package.

According to Politico, Kimberly Wallner, an aide to Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), used Wurzelbacher's appearance to promote the latest meeting of the Conservative Working Group, writing, “In case you weren’t planning to attend CWG tomorrow morning, you might want to reconsider because Joe the Plumber will be joining us!”
