Returning to Bamiyan, Afghanistan

Reporter Pratap Chatterjee finds refugees who have returned to their homeland only to find a life of poverty and struggle.

Bamiyan is best known as the site of the giant Buddhas, which were destroyed by the Taliban in March 2001.  Cameraman Ronald Nobu Sakamoto and reporter Pratap Chatterjee visited Bamiyan to see how the region is faring.  Read more about the uncertain future  of Afghanistan here.
