Shatner reads Palin's Twitter

Beat poetry was never this weird

William Shatner was back on the "Tonight Show" Thursday night, and once again he was there to do his own very special interpretation of the words of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Last time, Shatner did a dramatic reading of Palin's farewell speech -- this time, it was more of a poetry slam, as he read selections from her Twitter feed. As Twitter restricts messages to 140 characters or less, Palin's output has been particularly disjointed and sometimes just plain odd, even for her. So Shatner had plenty to work with, and he made the most of it.
