Jenny Sanford and her four sons are leaving South Carolina’s governor’s mansion. They’ve been packing up and taking boxes out of it on Friday in preparation for a move to Charleston, S.C. — and away from Gov. Mark Sanford — for the school year.

“I have decided to move back to our home in Charleston with our sons for the upcoming school year,” the state’s first lady said in a statement. “From there, we will work to continue the process of healing our family …. While we will be leaving Columbia, we will return often, and I will remain engaged in activities in my role as First Lady, acknowledging that my responsibilities to my family come first.”
