Palin to launch new political group

The former Alaska governor is planning a new organization, "Stand Up for Our Nation"

Get ready for lots of Sarah Palin. The former Alaska governor has a book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," coming out next month. And that's not all she's got planned.

Palin is also launching a new political group, which will be called Stand Up for Our Country, the New York Post's Cindy Adams reported earlier this week. The Wall Street Journal has confirmed the report, quoting Tim Crawford, a "Palin associate," as saying, "There will be an announcement about it coming up."

It's not clear what the purpose of this group would be, as Palin already has a political action committee. Those who might know are keeping quiet; the Journal quotes Fred Malek, a fundraiser for John McCain, the former governor's old running mate and now a friend of Palin's, as saying, "She wants to continue to be in a position to help causes dear to her heart and help people close to her."
