Recalls: Snacks containing certain pretzels

GNS Foods is taking back products that may be tainted with salmonella

The following recall has been announced:

GNS Foods, based in Arlington, Texas, is voluntarily recalling snack mixes containing certain kinds of pretzels. They could be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and others with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported, the company said. The items were sold after Jan. 26 in stores located in Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia. The following products are included in the recall:

--12-ounce bags of honey mustard pretzels, sold under the Great Nut Supply brand, with UPC code 726093 77132 and Lot/Code of 61150/0280.

--10-ounce plastic jars of honey mustard pretzels, sold under the brand Spec's Wines & Fine Foods, with UPC code 000008 98072 and Lot/Code of 61181/0330 or 210462/0320.

--1-pound bags of bar mix, sold under the Great Nut Supply brand, with UPC code 726093 77111 and Lot/Code of 61147/0260.

--26-ounce plastic jars of bar mix, sold under the brand Spec's Wines & Fine Foods, with UPC code 000008 03247 and Lot/Code of 61190/0330 or 210462/0320.

--12-ounce plastic tubs of bar mix, sold under the brand Rouses Louisiana's Best, with UPC code 015418 00319 and Lot/Code of 60998/0120.

--10-ounce plastic jars of honey cheddar mix, sold under the brand Spec's Wines & Fine Foods, with UPC code 000008 98049 and Lot/Code of 61183/0330 or 210462/0320.
