Now here's a funny tidbit from today's lady news: Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni reportedly had a rather improper conversation when they first met. According to the upcoming book, "The Promise: President Obama, Year One" by Jonathan Alter, Bruni "delighted in telling friends that she shocked Michelle Obama at their first meeting" by regaling her with a tale about how she and her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, "once kept another foreign leader waiting while they finished having sex."

The book, reports CNN, explains that Bruni, who has recently battled rumors of an affair, "wanted to know if, like the Sarkozys, Michelle and the president had ever kept anyone waiting that way." Obama was more circumspect: She "laughed nervously and said no." You see, kids, there is more than one way to be a lady.
