Officials at Joint Base Lewis-McChord say cases against two more soldiers charged with misconduct in Afghanistan will proceed to courts-martial.

Spc. Corey Moore, of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Cpl. Emmitt Quintal, of Weston, Ore., are charged with drug use and with beating up another soldier who was a witness in a drug investigation.

Twelve soldiers are charged in all. Five are accused of murder and conspiracy in the deaths of three Afghan civilians this year.
