Michele Bachmann blasts first lady over breast-feeding
The Minnesota congresswoman took multiple shots at Michelle Obama during a radio interview with Laura Ingraham
Michele Bachmann has her sights set on the Obamas again, this time taking aim at the first lady. During an interview on Laura Ingraham's radio program yesterday, the third-term Minnesota congresswoman blasted Michelle Obama for supporting a tax break on breast pumps. The IRS announced last week that it would reclassify breast pumps as medical care purchases, and as such tax-deductible. Bachmann thinks this is terrible.
I’ve given birth to five babies and I breastfed every single one of these babies. To think that government has to go out and buy my breast pump for my babies. You wanna talk about the nanny state? I think we just got the new definition of a nanny.
Bachmann also said she believes the first lady may be gearing up for an eventual Senate run. You can listen to the full interview here.
