Turkey's state-run TV has quoted the foreign minister as saying Turkey's demands have been met and NATO will now take command of the Libya military operation.

NATO needs the approval of all 28 of its members to do that, and Turkey had set conditions that were a stumbling block.

"Our demands have been met on Libya, the operation will be handed over to NATO," Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted as saying on TRT television Thursday.
