SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Coast Guard says crews rescued 28 people after their boat engine caught fire in San Francisco Bay.

Officials received a call about the blaze in the McCovey Cove shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Petty officer Rachel Polish says crews arrived a few minutes later and took the boat's occupants to a nearby marina. There were no reports of any injuries.

She says "the whole case took place in a matter of minutes."

Firefighters extinguished the blaze. Its cause is under investigation.

The cove is next to AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.
