PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos (AP) — Air Canada says one of its jets has made an emergency landing in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The airline says the jet's captain requested emergency response vehicles meet the flight after he received a warning of a possible hydraulics problem as the plane approached the island chain southeast of the Bahamas.

The A319 jet landed safely Friday on the island of Providenciales and was towed to the gate to be inspected. There were no injuries.

Flight 1252 was en route to Providenciales from Toronto with 110 passengers.
