MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — Somalia’s most dangerous militant group is parading hostages the group claims are Kenyans taken in a raid on a Kenyan border village that killed six people.

Residents in the town of Bardhere said Friday that al-Shabab fighters paraded two Kenyans in a pickup truck that the militants also claimed was seized during Wednesday night’s raid.

Ali Bashi Qasim, a resident, said by phone that the two hostages had their heads down and looked dejected.

A Kenyan official has said that at least four government officials went missing after the raid in addition to the six killed.

There have been a spate of cross-border attacks by Somali militants both before and after Kenya sent troops into Somalia in October.
