NEW YORK (AP) — A New York City man who has admitted killing four people in a rampage of stabbings, carjackings and other crimes is due in court for an update on a lingering case: a subway slashing that authorities say came at the end of his violent spree last February.

Maksim Gelman has a court date Tuesday in Manhattan. It concerns only a subway attack moments before his dramatic arrest beneath Times Square. A passenger was wounded.

Gelman pleaded guilty in December to murder and other charges in the other attacks. Those killed included his stepfather and a woman whose friends have said Gelman was obsessed with her.

Gelman is to be sentenced Wednesday for those crimes. They happened in Brooklyn. The subway stabbing is a separate case because it happened in Manhattan.
