BANGKOK (AP) — Police say the Lebanese-Swedish man detained in Thailand was storing explosive materials in Bangkok before shipping them to another destination.

Bangkok police commissioner Lt. Gen. Winai Thongson declined to say which country the suspect named as the destination because of national security concerns.

A Bangkok court later Tuesday ordered Atris Hussein detained for 12 days for illegally possessing explosive materials.

He led police Monday to a warehouse containing four tons of urea fertilizer and several gallons of liquid ammonium nitrate.

His arrest was linked to U.S. and Israeli warnings last week of a possible terror threat in Bangkok.
