MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Freezing drizzle and rain is making roads slick in parts of the Upper Midwest, and the conditions could get worse heading into Monday's morning commute.

The National Weather Service has issued warnings about freezing drizzle and rain for parts of Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota and Wisconsin. A fog advisory also is out in south-central Wisconsin.

In southeastern Minnesota, Rochester police responded to more than 70 crashes on slick roadways Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, snow is expected Sunday in Nebraska and the Dakotas. The weather service says a few inches could fall in parts before midnight. Other areas are expected to get only an inch or so.

A changeover from rain to snow is expected to start Sunday afternoon in Iowa and move east into Minnesota and Wisconsin.
