IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Investigators looking into a mysterious Iowa Lottery jackpot claim plan to consider whether to launch a criminal probe.

Dave Button leads the state's Division of Criminal Investigation's gaming bureau. He says his agency will meet Monday state officials to review information related to the winning Hot Lotto ticket. Button says the agency will decide afterward whether to get involved.

The ticket worth at least $7.5 million cash was turned in Dec. 29, minutes before the one-year deadline to claim it. A New York lawyer who signed the ticket for a trust has refused to say how he ended up with it and who would get the proceeds.
