KANO, Nigeria (AP) — Residents of a neighborhood in the north Nigeria city where at least 185 people died in a terror attack by a radical Islamist sect say security forces entered a home and killed two people inside.

Blood pooled across the living room of the home Tuesday as a man in traditional robes wept inside. Witnesses said security agencies shot and killed the man who lived there and his wife while searching for members of the sect known as Boko Haram.

A police spokesman declined to immediately comment.

Friday's attack in Kano saw Boko Haram members assault police stations, immigration offices and the local headquarters of Nigeria's secret police. At least two suicide bombers took part in the attack.
