PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police in Eugene, Ore., worry about what Daniel Alloway could have done as he cleared traffic with emergency lights on his blue SUV and wore the uniforms of both local police and the Federal Protective Services.

He's facing charges that include 26 counts of impersonating a police officer at an arraignment Friday.

Police arrested Alloway on Thursday afternoon after they say he pulled over motorists and posed as an officer for more than a year. He had a badge, gun, Taser and pepper spray, made traffic stops and even wore his fake uniform while volunteering at a youth center.

Investigators expect to file even more charges.

Alloway is a member of the Oregon Army National Guard. He served three tours in Iraq and received service awards for each deployment.
