ATLANTA (AP) — A Georgia student claims in a lawsuit that he was forced to strip naked in front of a school administrator, a resource officer and other students because he was suspected of hiding marijuana.

The middle school student said in the lawsuit filed Wednesday he was brought to the vice principal's office about a year ago after other students falsely accused him of having drugs.

He claims he was ordered to strip after an initial search revealed nothing. The student says he suffers from emotional distress because classmates later taunted him by calling him "Superman," the kind of underwear he was wearing that day.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified punitive and compensatory damages from the Clayton County school district, which didn't immediately comment. Clayton County is just south of Atlanta.
