THE EURO ALSO RISES: The euro rise slightly to $1.32, indicating that investors are bullish on Europe. Major indexes in Europe rose as investors hoped for a bailout deal for Greece next week.

NEXT STOP: 13,000? The Dow Jones industrial average closed within 50 points of 13,000, a milestone it hasn't reached since May 2008.

LINFINITY: Madison Square Garden jumped 3 percent after reports circulated that it had resolved a dispute with Time Warner Cable over pricing for its MSG network, which carries the New York Knicks. Many New York area fans have been unable to watch the explosive debut of point guard Jeremy Lin because MSG has been blacked out from Time Warner Cable systems.
