WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. (AP) — The son of a Minnesota couple who were never found after last month's Italian cruise ship disaster says he's glad his parents' suffering is over and that they were together at the end.

Jerry and Barb Heil (hile) were remembered Saturday during a memorial Mass that drew hundreds of people to their church in White Bear Lake, a St. Paul suburb.

The Heils are the only Americans still listed as missing from the Jan. 13 capsizing of the Costa Concordia. Italian authorities stopped searching the cruise ship at the end of January due to dangerous conditions.

In a eulogy, Nathan Heil says it's hard for those who loved his parents not to feel a little empty. But he says his parents would've told them that everything gets better with time.
