2 Shot At Wal-Mart Distribution Center In Va

PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) — A fire department spokeswoman says two people have been shot at a Wal-Mart distribution center in central Virginia.

Dinwiddie County fire spokeswoman Denice Marrs says one person was airlifted from the center. The shooting happened around noon Wednesday. She says she does not know the conditions of either shooting victim or whether a suspect was in custody.

County and state police are at the center near Petersburg, about 25 miles south of Richmond.

The Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Department, Virginia State Police and Wal-Mart did not immediately return calls seeking more information

The center is located in a rural area off Route 460.

No other details are immediately available.
