NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — A key prosecution witness is expected to be back on the witness stand when the Rutgers University webcam spying trial resumes on Tuesday.
Former defendant Molly Wei (way) testified Monday in the trial of Dharun Ravi (dar-ROON’ RAH’-vee).
Ravi faces 15 criminal counts, including bias intimidation and invasion of privacy.
His roommate, Tyler Clementi, killed himself in September 2010, just days after Ravi allegedly used a webcam to see Clementi’s intimate encounter with another man.
Wei told jurors that she and Ravi initially agreed not to tell anyone what they saw because they shouldn’t have watched the video stream.
Wei was initially charged but entered a program that can keep her criminal record clean if she meets conditions, including giving truthful testimony.
