NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J (AP) — A Rutgers University student says he helped a young man accused of spying on his roommate adjust a webcam to get a better view.

Lokesh Ohja (LOH'-kesh OH'-hah) told jurors Wednesday that Dharun Ravi (dah-ROON' RAH'-vee) moved the camera to improve the view of his roommate's bed.

Ohja says Ravi made the adjustment one night when roommate Tyler Clementi asked to have the dorm room privately.

Clementi committed suicide on Sept. 22, 2010. That's the day after the incident Ohja described. Authorities say Ravi's attempt to spy on his roommate that day was thwarted when his computer was unplugged.

Ravi faces charges including invasion of privacy and bias intimidation. He is not charged in Clementi's death.
