HENRYVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The National Weather Service says two tornadoes hit one of the tiny southern Indiana towns devastated by a rash of violent storms, including one rated an EF4 that packed 175 mph winds.

The weather service also confirmed Saturday that four tornadoes hit eastern Kentucky on Friday with EF2 and EF3 ratings on the scale that measures tornadic force.

The scale ranges from EF0 to EF5, with anything an EF2 or higher carrying winds upward of 113 mph.

Officials say the EF4 tornado that walloped the Henryville, Ind., was on the ground for 52 miles and measured about 150 yards wide. It was followed by a second, smaller twister.

The NWS says EF3 tornadoes touched down in three separate Kentucky counties, with a slightly weaker EF2 sweeping through further south.
