DENVER (AP) — A United Express plane has been evacuated after an emergency landing at Denver International Airport because of smoke on the aircraft.

ExpressJet spokeswoman Allison Curtin says the flight was a scheduled arrival from Peoria, Ill., and that passengers were evacuated onto runway after it landed Tuesday morning.

KMGH-TV (http://bit.ly/H6rWaK ) reported that one person was taken to the hospital but that passenger's condition wasn't known.

The runway where the plane landed was closed for inspection but the airport said that wasn't causing any delays.
