PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — The office of Haiti's President Michel Martelly says the leader has completed surgery on his right shoulder in Miami.

The presidential office's announcement early Friday morning said the arthoscopic surgery went well and that Martelly will spend a few days recovering in the Florida city.

Martelly left Haiti Wednesday for the operation but his office didn't give details on the problem.

Doctors operated on the 51-year-old Martelly's left shoulder in November to relieve pain that he said had bothered him from his previous career as a musician.

Martelly is due to return to Haiti on Thursday to host a visit by Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
