BAGHDAD (AP) — Officials say a bomb hidden in a plastic bag and planted on a minibus has killed two passengers in central Baghdad.

Police and a hospital official say nine people were also wounded in Saturday's blast in the commercial area of Karrada in the heart of the Iraqi capital.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.

Deadly attacks have declined in Iraq in recent weeks, but dozens are still killed every month. March saw the lowest monthly toll for violent deaths since the 2003 U.S.-invasion.
