“How do I stay current? How do I stay soulful?” asks Bey in the trailer for her HBO documentary, “Life is but a Dream,” which came out this weekend.
Judging by the month that Beyonce’s having–announcing a new album, being named the sexiest woman of the century past 11 years, singing for the President and releasing a movie she made about herself –it’s hard to take the insecurities of the power-obsessed megastar seriously. Does anyone really believe that Beyonce won’t remain “current” for the forseeable future?
But nonetheless, the documentary attempts to make the diva more relatable and human. “I get scared, I get nervous,” says Beyonce, “just like everyone else.”
“Life is but a Dream” premieres on HBO Feb. 16.
