Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has splintered off on his own before–first in 2006 with his solo album, “Eraser,” and currently with Atoms for Peace, his collaboration with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and drummer Mauro Refosco–but so far, he’s always come back to the iconic band.
Radiohead bass player Colin Greenwood recently told BBC 6 Music that although “We’re taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things,” “the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer.”
The album would be Radiohead’s ninth, following their experimental 2011 “King of Limbs” for which they launched an international tour in 2012.
