During a discussion on ABC News' "This Week" of the Supreme Court's upcoming decision on Proposition 8 and DOMA, Karl Rove said that he could envision the 2016 Republican presidential candidate backing gay marriage.

“Can you imagine the next presidential campaign a Republican candidate saying flat out ‘I am for gay marriage,’” host George Stephanopoulos asked Rove.

"I could," he replied.
