Pic of the day: Locusts devour Madagascar

In a scene out of a B horror movie, billions of locusts have descended on Madagascar, imperiling one of the planet’s most diverse ecosystems. According to CNN, it’s the country’s worst infestation since the the 1950s and could consume as much two-thirds of the island.
