Justin Bieber and manager Scooter Braun are going to space, because of course. On Wednesday, Virgin Group CEO Richard Branson tweeted:

Bieber, who retweeted the message to his 40 million followers, is the latest celebrity "future astronaut," joined by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Ashton Kutcher.

So far, more than 530 people have signed up to fly on Virgin Galactic's suborbital flight, paying $250,000 per reservation.

The flight takes passengers to the "edge of outer space," reports the LA Times, where "passengers will experience weightlessness and see the curvature of the Earth."

Let's hope Bieber doesn't board the plane with a pet monkey this time.
