In his first TV ad for the special election for the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg's New Jersey Senate seat, Newark Mayor Cory Booker takes a shot at Washington and touts his record "running toward" challenges to fix up Newark.

“In Newark, we got guns off the street, attracted new businesses, created new jobs, and improved our public schools," he says in the ad, adding: "Washington ducks our problems. I won’t. Join me. The work starts now."
