According to CEO Tim Cook, the Cupertino City Council has unanimously approved Apple's new "spaceship" campus in today's vote.

The neighbors may be cranky about it, but the issues the council considered in the project's environmental impact report––noise, traffic, and the sheer size of the 6-million-square-foot project––seem to be outweighed by the economic boon of having the nation's second most valuable company stay and bring even more jobs to the area.
