According to at least one social-media manager for a major news outlet, Jared Leto wasn’t playing a trans woman in his Oscar-winning role in “Dallas Buyers Club” — he was playing a transvestite.
NBC News went on to correct themselves, noting that the award went to Leto for playing a transgender role.
