We're excited about Maya Rudolph's variety show, but probably not more than Rudolph herself, who exclaimed, "I did it! I effing did it!" on "The Tonight Show" Wednesday night.

The hour-long pilot sounds insane ... and awesome: "There's an opening number, there's a live animal in it, my dress rips away, there's like a plate-spinning guy, there's children -- it's nuts!" Rudolph said, adding, "Things explode!"

The audience also got a preview of one of the sketches in the show, featuring Fred Armisen, Andy Samberg and Kristen Bell. The sketch, which (of course) has an "SNL" back story, is premised on: What if that annoying, mechanical voice from your Garmin GPS were a real person? And what would it be like to meet an entire family of Garmins?

The preview doesn't offer a lot, but it's worth watching just for Rudolph's Garmin GPS-voice impression, which is spot on.

On the "Today Show" this morning, Rudolph said she'd love to continue the show -- which is currently just a one-off episode, but it depends on the fans.

"The Maya Rudolph Show" premieres on May 19 on NBC.
