The viral black-and-white photo of 13-year-old Willow Smith lying on a bed with her shirtless 20-year-old friend Moises Arias has prompted an investigation by the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services, reports RadarOnline. Though not everyone batted an eye over the photo of two friends lounging, the police apparently found it suspicious enough to look into Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's liberal parenting methods.

A source told RadarOnline, however, that the Smiths are not too upset over it. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials," said the source. "Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

The investigation was opened last week, and according to the source, “Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”

After the initial outcry, Jada had defended the photo saying, "There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation." She condemned the media for "projecting your trash onto it" and "acting like covert pedophiles and that's not cool."
