The greatest story ever told begins on the Day of the Dead, according to the official trailer for "The Book of Life," directed by Jorge Gutierrez and produced by Guillermo del Toro. Starring Zoe Saldana, Channing Tatum and Diego Luna the fantasy follows a young man, Manolo, caught between the dreams of his family and his own personal ambitions. From the official synopsis, "This journey takes him from the Land of the Living to the Land of the Remembered, where people who have lived complete lives, and are remembered among the living, go after they die. A final, daunting destination is The Land of the Forgotten, where those who have died with unfulfilled lives dwell." Judging from the trailer, the movie looks just as hauntingly beautiful as any other project touched by del Toro.
