Two years after the Iraq War ended, ISIS militants are taking over the country — or, at least, making a serious attempt to do so. On Thursday night, Jon Stewart gave his audience a brief primer on the increasing conflict Iraq faces: The jihadist militant group emerged as a failure of the Iraq War with the mission to make a single Islamic state out of Syria, Iraq and neighboring countries. They’re reportedly more violent and more vicious than al-Qaida. For once, Stewart doesn’t have much to say except that things are not looking good.
