"Homeland" actor Mandy Patinkin has proposed a solution to fix the crisis in the Middle East: run for prime minister of Israel after he wraps up Season 4. Here's the plan, spoken with perfect enunciation by Patinkin: He would lead with his "moral and ethical attitude toward humanity," and Colbert would lead security, and "the combination of the two might calm the region into, on occasion, laughing at itself." Best of all, Colbert wouldn't even have to leave his studio to accept.
