The new "Avengers" trailer is all sorts of amazing

Is it May 1, 2015, yet?

The first trailer released for the next installment in the Marvel franchise, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," was both eerie and thrilling. My stunted cultural upbringing means that I will never not be ultimately scared-excited by creepy children singing creepy children's songs.

But the new trailer, released on Tuesday, shows the gang in a lighter atmosphere: competing to lift Thor's hammer. In the clip, the heroes are dangerously proud and relaxed -- a state that is bound to be interrupted by Ultron, the robotic super-villain voiced by the perennially odd James Spader.

Spoiler alert: There is creepy child singing in this one too. The movie will be released on May 1, 2015.
