Thursday night was the final episode of "The Colbert Report," and the musical extravaganza sendoff was absolutely epic.

It began with Stephen Colbert joined by Jon Stewart singing "We'll Meet Again." Shortly after, Randy Newman joined in on piano, and then former guests including Bryan Cranston, Willie Nelson, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Michael Stipe. But it did not end there. Cyndi Lauper was there, along with Ariana Huffington, Katie Couric, Patrick Stewart, Cookie Monster, James Franco, Keith Olbermann, Jeff Daniels, Sam Waterston, Paul Krugman and more.

Celebrities of all ilk -- political figures, journalism big wigs, actors, musicians, Sesame Street characters -- flooded the stage to sing, dance and awkwardly sway. The ending was fun, charming, sentimental and damn near perfect. Goodbye "The Colbert Report," "we'll meet again some sunny day." Watch below:
